When S + L got engaged(in Tulum), they began the process of planning their wedding. They were uncomfortable bringing so many people from all over the country during a pandemic, so opted for a minimony elopement just a few months after their engagement. After they had tied the knot, they knew they still wanted to celebrate with all of their family and friends from NYC to LA.
After driving by the Long Beach Airport, they talked about how it would be cool to get married at an airport. It was fitting since they had traveled to Thailand, Greece, Mexico, NYC and all over California.
Their main request was to keep things guest-focused, and not to take away from their time with their guests who had traveled to see them exchange vows after 2.5 years of not seeing each other. I stole them away for 15 minutes in the airplane hangar and snuck out on the tarmac for a few shots, as well. For them, it was the perfect evening of socializing, dancing, and jetting off in a helicopter at the end of the night.
